Things that I did this summer…

Somewhere, New Mexico

Section of the Berlin Wall – Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri

Ruffy Lake Trailhead, California

  • I saw my first college football game.
  • Got scared to tears by a cannon, again.
  • Visited three states, drove over 1,000 miles and took two flights in the course of one week.
  • Took an end of summer trip to Yosemite.
  • Watched fly fishing and saw a Rainbow Trout up close for the first time.
  • Kayaked.
  • Saw Bill Engvall.
  • Ate amazing food (see upcoming post of the awesome food spots I found this year!)
  • Stayed in San Fransisco and Berkeley, California.
  • Cooked a homemade pot pie over a fire while camping.
  • Took some pictures of abandoned buildings and artifacts.
  • Made some new friends.
  • Stayed in a dorm.
  • White water rafted the Klamath River in NorCal.
  • Went on my first long motorcycle ride. 90 miles on dirt and road. LOVED it!
  • Saw Bald Eagles.
  • Enjoyed the late summer rain and the smell of dirt and bark and grass.
  • Got talked to by cops while photographing an abandoned building. (I didn’t get a ticket, just a warning)
  • Accidentally sat on a memorial field that had ashes sprinkled on it. (Whoops)
  • Visited my sister and brother-in-law.
  • Motored lots of miles in Gus (my MINI).
  • Started learning French (I hardly know diddly squat)
  • Met two other people who share the same birthday as mine.
  • Touched a piece of the Berlin Wall.
  • Soaked up the sun on a river beach.
  • And a lot more that I don’t remember right now!
